IMPORTANT TERMS AND CONDITIONS RELATING TO UPLOADING YOUR CURRICULUM VITAE ("CV") ON THE SRK CONSULTING (UK) LIMITED ("SRK") WEBSITE

Please read these terms carefully before you upload your CV.  You are asked at the end of this document to accept that you have read and understand these terms.

If you decide not to proceed with uploading your CV, we would be pleased to receive it by post:

1.       Use of your Personal Information

  • The details contained within your CV, your name, address, telephone number, previous work experience and qualifications are Personal Information as defined in the Data Protection Act 1998 ("DPA").
  • The purpose for which SRK will use your Personal Information is as follows:

Ø     your CV will be accessible, viewable and downloadable for printing by personnel authorised within SRK for the purposes of locating prospective specialist personnel as potential employees or to undertake assignments for SRK as self employed sub-consultants

Ø     your CV will be accessible, viewable and downloadable for printing by similarly authorised personnel within allied practices to SRK ("Allied Practices"), all of which are partly owned by SRK Consulting (Global) Limited (UK company no. 2931114) details of which can be found at:

Ø     SRK or Allied Practices may contact you utilising the email, telephone or address details you have uploaded with your CV

  • SRK will NOT:

Ø     transfer or make available your Personal Information to any other person or organisation other than Allied Practices.

SRK gives no warranty and makes no representations that your CV will result in any offer of employment or to perform services for SRK or any Allied Practice.  SRK may delete your CV from its records if it does not meet with our requirements.  SRK may delete your CV if it contains anything offensive, libelous or untrue.

2.       Consent to transfer of Personal Information outside of the European Economic Area ("EEA")

The eighth data protection principal of the DPA contains certain restrictions against the transfer of personal data (your Personal Information) outside of the EEA (EU Member States, plus Iceland, Lichenstein and Norway).  These countries may not have similar protections to those required by the DPA in place regarding your data and its use as set out in these terms. In accepting these terms and uploading your CV to the SRK website, you agree and consent to your Personal Information being transferred outside the EEA as it shall be accessible and downloadable within Allied Practices.  If you do not agree and consent to this, please send your CV to us by post.

3.       Security

  • SRK and the Allied Practices shall use reasonable endeavours to maintain adequate and up-to-date technical and organisational security measures to protect and ensure the secure collection, storage and transfer of your Personal Information in compliance with the terms of the DPA for example by use of firewalls, browser certification technology, limiting access to authorised persons, use of passwords etc as appropriate.
  • You acknowledge and agree that the internet is not a 100% secure medium and there is always a risk that despite our reasonable efforts to keep your Personal Information secure, our systems may be subject to unauthorised or malicious access or attack.

4.     Acceptable use of the CV upload facility of the SRK Website

You shall not use the SRK Website CV upload facility to:

·         threaten the integrity and/or security of any network or computer system (for example by transmission of worms, viruses and other malicious codes and accessing any device or data without proper authorisation);

·         violate generally accepted standards of Internet or other networks conduct and usage, including, but not limited to, denial of service attacks, web page defacement, port and network scanning, and unauthorised use which in any way degrades or interferes with other users' use of the Website;

·         submit over sized fonts, JavaScript, tables, headings or other advanced HTML commands.  We require all submissions to be in standard fonts which may be bold or coloured.

5.     Cookies

We do not use cookies on our Website at this time but reserve the right to incorporate their use on our website in the future.   

6.     Updating information

Please let us know if the personal information which we hold about you needs to be corrected or updated.

7.     Amendments

We may update these terms from time-to-time by posting a new version on our website.  You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes.

You may instruct us to provide you with any personal information we hold about you.  Provision of such information may be subject to the payment of a fee (currently fixed at £10.00).
